The autumn recruitment ends today in Kazan
(KZN.RU, December 24, Alina Berezhnaya). 693 Kazan citizens sent to the service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation by the autumn recruitment, 218 out of them have higher education and 329 have secondary vocational education. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that the fact that many recruits will serve in elite troops (the navy, airborne forces, Presidential regiment and scientific companies) speaks about the quality of training and relevance of Kazan recruits.
In total, 4736 citizens are subject to military service, and 4727 young people were summoned to recruitment offices based on the results of recruiting commissions, Shamil Khannanov, the military commissar of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan, said today at the Business Monday.
According to Sh. Khannanov, a distinctive feature of this recruiting campaign was a large number of military experts who are to be sent to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. So, the DOSAAF prepared 52 drivers, flying club – 18 shooters-parachutists. In addition, this year they took young men who graduated from universities to the army.
Shamil Khannanov also said that before being sent to the service, each future defender of the Motherland is given a SIM card with a tariff “Call Mom”, which is valid for the entire period of service.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, remarked that after sending recruits to the troops, the city continues to monitor the progress of their service. “Here in Tatarstan, including Kazan, we do not just send our recruits to the army, but also monitor their service. Our military commissars are in touch with commanders and, as a rule, we are always aware of how the Kazan recruits serve”, said Ilsur Metshin. He added that the new draft campaign begins on January 1, 2019.
Shamil Khannanov noted the work of the military commissariats of the Sovetsky, Privolzhsky and Vakhitovsky districts, where the recruitment was carried out according to the plan and was completed on time. The recruiting campaign was difficult in the Novo-Savinovsky, Aviastroitelny, Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts. The military commissariats fulfilled the tasks only at the end of the recruitment.
