I. Metshin: “The new school in the Sovetsky district will unload the Azino-2, the settlements of Officers and Voznesenskoe”

(KZN.RU, June 13, Ksenia Shvetsova). In the future academic year, a new school for 1224 children will open its doors in the neighborhood of Azino-2 on Minskaya Street. The modern educational institution will solve the problem with the congestion of the schools of the micro-district, as well as unload the schools of the settlements of Officers and Voznesenskoe, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. He inspected the progress of the construction of a new facility and instructed to fill the school with content, ensuring for children all the conditions for a diversified development.

All levels of education from 1 to 11 classes will be provided in the new school. In total, it is planned to form 51 training groups for 24 students. Svetlana Galinova, the future director of the school, said that recruitment of teachers is being carried out now. 65 teachers will work at the school.

The OOO “Ak Tash” builds the school. According to the project, it will be divided into several functional zones. Premises for primary classes are allocated in a separate block. There are training rooms with recreational facilities, play and sleeping rooms for groups of the extended day, separate entrance with a wardrobe. The other block includes study rooms for the senior levels of education. A vestibule and a school library are on the second and third floors with an area of 438 square meters.

The Mayor inspected the pools, the construction of which is almost completed. There will be 2 of them in the school. Dressing rooms and showers, toilets will be arranged, rooms for coaching rooms and a nursing nurse with a laboratory will be allocated in a separate pool complex.

The complex of gyms consists of large and small ones. Gyms are provided with separate shells, dressing rooms with showers and toilets. In each room, classes are scheduled to be held 2 times a week for one training group. Thus, 102 lessons of physical education will take place in both halls per week. It is planned that at least once a week children will go in for sports on the street or in the pool.

An assembly hall with a capacity of 560 seats will be built in the building of the school. The hall will be equipped with a stage, it is planned to build a lift for low-mobility groups.

Guzel Ananieva, the director of the AO “Department of Food and Social Catering of Kazan”, presented the Mayor a project of the future canteen, in which a school restaurant will be opened. Children can relax and escape from the lessons in a calm, relaxing environment.

I. Metshin noted that the school meets the highest standards. “It will be interesting to study and work in such a school. It will be provided with the best equipment!”, said the Mayor and added that the school will be a gift for local residents. “We have one of the most difficult situations with schools in Asino-2, almost all of them worked in two shifts. A new school for 1224 pupils will unload not only this micro-district”, said the Mayor. “Now it is important to create a good pedagogical staff and fill the school with interesting content so that the children will receive knowledge”.

Azat Nigmatzyanov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Committee for External Improvement, Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district administration, and others took part in the meeting.

Several more schools are being built in Kazan as well.
