(KZN.RU,
June 8, Alsu Safina). Today the first assembly of the legal community of
Tatarstan Legal Expert Awards was opened in Kazan. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of
Kazan, welcomed the participants in the GTRK “Korston”. He noted that Kazan
historically has been and continues to develop as the largest Russian center of
legal education and science.
The head of
the city, who is the chairman of the board of trustees of the law faculty of
the KFU, noted that next year this faculty turns 215 years old. “Over the past
two centuries, thousands have successfully graduated from alma mater, becoming
specialists in the field of jurisprudence”, said the Mayor. In 2015, the Kazan
University gathered more than a thousand of its graduates and lawyers from all
over the country for the first time. “It is gratifying that the holding of
large international legal forums and conferences in Kazan with the
participation of specialists from all over the world has become a good
tradition”, said Ilsur Metshin. Last September, an international forum Kazan
Legal was held on the initiative of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT.
It made Kazan a few days' center of legal theory and practice. “I am sure that
today's event will be interesting and useful for all participants, and staying
in Kazan is unforgettable”, the Mayor wished the assembly participants.
The
participants of the assembly were lawyers, legal consultants, corporate lawyers
and business representatives, judges, representatives of professional
organizations, associations, foundations, educational institutions, notaries,
appraisers, representatives of Tatarstan authorities. They plan to discuss
issues and problems that are relevant in the modern world.
The themes
to be raised at the assembly, as well as the composition of its participants,
make it possible to be sure that today's event will be most effective for the
gathered, said Ildar Khalikov, the chairman of the Tatarstan regional branch of
the All-Russian Public Organization “Association of Lawyers of Russia”.
“Selected subjects are not easy. There are new questions from the field of
digital law. This is already a matter not of the future, but of the present,
and requires serious discussion and search for a solution”, said I. Khalikov.
“Today
everyone talks about the digital economy, about new approaches. But this is not
only an economy, it is a great field for new relations in the humanities. Today
we are already talking about digital law”, said Dmitry Tayursky, the
vice-rector for educational activities of the KFU. “And it is the field of
activity not only for representatives of legal science and practice, it requires
a collective interdisciplinary work”. According to the scientist, the time is
not far off when many expert decisions will be applied on the basis of
artificial intelligence. “But in the near future, I do not see that the human
factor will go to the background. People will always be in the first place”,
said the expert.
Not only
working sessions on the issues of legal education, digital economy, judicial
and arbitration practice, business and legal services are planned within the
assembly. There are also the presentation of the Legal Expert Awards, a
professional award for the republic's lawyers. In the evening, winners will be
named in 12 nominations.
