March 26, Alsu Safina). On April 1, a two-month sanitary cleaning and
landscaping events start in Kazan, told on the Business Monday Igor Kulyazhev,
deputy chairman of the Executive Committee, chairman of the Committee for
external improvements.
For 2
months, it is planned to clear the capital of Tatarstan from garbage and dirt,
accumulated during the winter, to fix the yard territories, roads, facades of
buildings and houses, children's playgrounds, to repair small architectural
forms, container sites. In addition, safety fences, stop pavilions, lampposts
and contact lines for electric transport pillars, fences, and urns will be
cleaned, repaired and painted; traffic lights, road signs, trade and service
facilities, industrial enterprises and garage cooperatives will be put in
order. Particular attention will be paid to urban parks and squares, green
areas along the streets, the territories of educational and cultural
institutions.
The head of
the committee noted that most of the works would be accomplished by organisations
working in the field of housing and communal services and landscaping – managing
companies and municipal road-keeping enterprises. In addition, organizations
and citizens will be inviolved into the two-month events. "It is expected
that, like last year, at least 160 thousand Kazan townspeople, more than 4
thousand companies and organizations
of the city will take part in a two-month sanitary cleaning", - suggested
the chairman of the Committee for external improvement .

reminded that the 2018th was declared the Year of the Volunteer in Russia, and
noted that Kazan citizens can become eco-volunteers. "Anyone can take part
in the two-month period, set up an initiative group and put in order some part
of the city," said the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement.
