I. Metshin: “We could only dream of such teams”
(KZN.RU, December 4, Anton Nozdrin). Kazan, according to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of city, became the owner of a lucky ticket by the draw of the FIFA World Cup-2018.
The capital of Tatarstan will host the national teams of three outstanding national football clubs. “The French team with Paul Pogba, teams of Spain and Germany, Colombia with Hames Rodriguez, Poland, led by Robert Lewandowski. We could only dream of such teams. We will be visited by interesting teams that will attract a huge number of fans and tourists from all over the world”, said Ilsur Metshin at the Business Monday.
The head of the city reminded that the second stage of ticket sales for the tournament will start from December 5. Now fans will be able to buy tickets for particular games and teams. “We are waiting for those, who won’t be able to get to the stadium for some reason, on the fan-fest near the Chasha”, said I. Meshin.
The Mayor of Kazan noted that the readiness of the infrastructure of the city is at a high level. “Everyone knows the direction, according to which we have to work”, marked I. Metshin. The head of the city noted that it would be necessary to minimize inconveniences for the citizens during the preparation and holding of the tournament.
“The security requirements are very severe. It is a question №1 for us. Everyone should have a clear plan of action, there is a personal responsibility on each leader”, said the Mayor of the city. Ilsur Metshin urged the Interior Ministry in Kazan to look at the behavior of the fans, to approach each game individually. “We all say: “Welcome to Kazan”. But we need to organize and build our work through the prism of how the fans of this or that national team behaved at the last world championships, Europe, the Confederations Cup”, the head of the city addressed to Alexey Sokolov, the head of the Interior Ministry. “Our hospitality will be the same for everyone”, said I. Metshin.
The Mayor noted that all the cities-organizers of the World Cup have their own features and it is necessary to make Kazan the most memorable. Ilsur Metshin instructed to organize the collection of creative ideas among the residents. “Let our concerned citizens share their suggestions about how to meet guests. We are happy to listen and implement those ideas that we all like”, said the Mayor of the city.
