The new teenage club named after M. Jalil will open in Kazan in autumn

(KZN.RU, August 25). The teenage youth center named after M. Jalil will open in Kazan in the autumn, which will be able to receive 400 children a week. The municipal institution on 2 Gazovaya Street will become the 61st teenage club in the city. Now the overhaul is being conducted in the institution. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the object readiness for the new academic year. The head of the city viewed the premises and instructed to build a sports ground on the territory of the youth center.

Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee, told the Mayor that the building had been transferred to the MBU “Podrostok” in November last year. According to A. Faizov, all the dirty part of the work has already been accomplished. In particular, existing partitions were demolished, new ones and plastic windows were installed. Interior finishing is currently under way. Repair is carried out entirely at the expense of the investor “ZhIK-Stroi”.

I. Metshin noted that the club will be in demand among the population. “It’s a good location, a large housing stock. The club provides great possibilities. You have chosen the right direction”, said the Mayor of Kazan.

The lack of such institutions in the neighborhood was obvious. According to A. Faizov, residents of nearby houses expressed their wishes for the construction of the club. Thanks to the Universiade-2013, the Ametievo district became the very center of youth and student life. “About 10 thousand people live here, more than 1.5 thousand children. The center will be able to receive more than 400 people a week”, said the head of the committee.

The improvement of the adjacent territory is carried out simultaneously with the renovation of the premises. There is an empty space near the building, suitable for sports grounds. “A huge number of children live here. The sports ground will be very much in demand”, said Ilsur Metshin and instructed Andrey Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, to work out the issue with construction and open a sports facility next summer.

The future center will work for both children and youth. Schoolchildren will be able to visit sections on martial arts, choreography, fine arts, foreign languages, and theatrical art. “There is a large assembly hall where you can stage small plays, teach your children the love for beauty”, said the chairman of the committee. It is planned to organize a center of youth public associations, a youth parliament, a center for intellectual games, and conduct a political debate for teenagers. The building will house sports and choreographic halls, 2 locker rooms, a multipurpose hall, a coach room, a director's office, a classroom, showers, and toilets.

“We will be able to engage children and teenagers in an important, useful, interesting activity, to carry out important preventive work”, marked the head of the committee.

Airat Sitdikov, the director of the MBU “Podrostok”, and Emil Khusnutdinov, the general director of the OOO “Group of companies “ZhIK Kazan”, took part in the meeting.

The overhaul of teenage clubs in Kazan in the republican program is carried out for the third year. In 2017, according to the program, repairs in 8 teenage clubs in all districts of the city are planned and the M. Jalil Center is being renovated at the expense of the investor.
