The Mayor of Kazan inspected the overhaul of the children's polyclinic №6 in the Sovetsky district

(KZN.RU, June 30, Anton Nozdrin). Today, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the course of major overhaul of children's polyclinic №6 on Otradnaya Street, №38a. It serves 25 thousand children of the Sovetsky district. The polyclinic was included in the large-scale republican program for the modernization of primary health care. Repair is planned to be completed by September of this year.

Ilnur Khalfiyev, the head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan, told the head of the city that the institution has 3 branches in addition to the main building and serves more than 25 thousand children (the main building – more than 9 thousand). 62 million rubles were allocated for the repair of four buildings. The overhaul of the main building will cost more than 33 million rubles.

Currently, the work is being underway in the left half of the building, which was built in 2002. The right half provides the receiving of patients. For today, the dismantling works have been completed in the repaired part of the building, the roofing is being replaced, the redevelopment of the premises and engineering networks have been completed.

Yury Korshun, the head doctor of the polyclinic, noted that furniture will also be purchased as part of the overhaul. Armchairs with warm backs and chair pads will be installed in the corridors, handrails will appear. Special low entrances will be provided at the registry and the wardrobe for low-mobility people. The clinic provides 37 types of medical care.

It is planned to differentiate the flow of healthy and ill children in the facility. Patients will use different entrances. I. Khalfiev said that previously healthy children were only admitted on various issues on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Now they can consult a doctor any day.

I. Metshin asked what would change in the qualitative content of the polyclinic and ordered to pay special attention to the reduction of queues. Yu. Korshun noted that the conditions for patients will become more comfortable after repair. The head doctor said that a new information system will be introduced and will significantly shorten the queue.

“There is no doubt that remarkable conditions will be created here by September”, Ilsur Metshin summed up the results of the visit and marked the importance of the program for the city.

All children's clinics (10 institutions) and in 17 adult institutions will be overhauled in Kazan throughout the year. In total, the program will affect more than 50 buildings in Kazan. The modernization program was developed on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT. It will be implemented within two years (2017-2018) and is unprecedented across the country.

The project “Friendly Polyclinic is a Tatarstan Standard” will continue as part of the modernization program. Its main principles are unified standards for the work of polyclinics, the organization of a call center, a doctor's consultation only by previous appointment, the creation of a doctor's on-call service, the reorganization of the nursing service, the organization of visiting brigades, and the organization of a centralized records’ storage facility.
