It is planned to finish the improvement in 5 parks of Kazan this year

(KZN.RU, June 10, Zilya Gayfi). Works on the improvement of urban parks and squares intensified in Kazan with the coming of the warm weather. This year, it is planned to complete the works in the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest, in parks “Krylia Sovetov”, “Chernoe Ozero”’, Uritsky, and Pobedy. Also, the reconstruction of the children's park on Syartlanova Street will begin. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, told about the progress of improvement at today’s staff meeting in the City Hall.

According to him, more than 800 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the program for the improvement of public spaces from the budget of Tatarstan this year. Another 250 million rubles were raised through the support of socially responsible enterprises and organizations. These funds will be used to complete the work in such large recreation areas as the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest, parks “Krylia Sovetov”, “Black Lake”, Uritsky and Podedy. The children's park on Syrtlanova Street is in the list of new objects.

Last year the new park Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest was established for the first time in the last decades. “The second stage of the improvement includes the installation of additional ecological paths with lighting and parking spaces with entrances for the low mobile groups of the population, grounds for walking dogs, the arrangement of professional and amateur ski tracks, strengthening of the ravine from the Bratiev Kasimovyh Street. There are also plans for the arrangement of quiet recreation areas with swings and pergolas”, said Igor Kulyazhev.

Work continues in the Uritsky Park, where the lake and canal were improved last year, playing sports fields, parking and a playground for walking dogs were equipped. According to Igor Kulyazhev, it is planned to equip the green amphitheater in the trench, which will be designed for summer and winter exploitation, in the second stage of works.

As Igor Kulyazhev said, the bowl of the lake with a fountain is subject to reconstruction in the park “Chernoe Ozero” in the second stage of the reconstruction, after which an artificial reservoir will sparkle with new colors. Repair of the fence along the perimeter of the park is planned in the Pobedy Park.

The third stage of improvement starts this year in the park “Krylya Sovetov”, where the art illumination of the park will be framed, the area behind the House of Culture named after Lenin will be equipped, new busts and statues will appear in the entrance, as well as a video surveillance system and equipment on the playground.

The children's park on Syartlanova Street will be improved taking into account the wishes of the residents. In addition to the usually performed works, the multipurpose circular path will appear there, which can be used for running, Nordic walking, rollerblading, as well as for mother-and-child walking.

Each object in the parks is built taking into account the opinion of the citizens who can send their wishes to the internet portal park.tatar. Also, residents can leave their review in the wish book in the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest (in the building of the ski base).

“The maximum preservation of the existing landscape and green spaces and natural coverage of paths in the forest zone is taken into account in the improvement of parks”, said Igor Kulyazhev.

Ilsur Metshin noted the contribution of residents and enterprises of the city, which help to improve public spaces. “Thanks to all enterprises of improvement and concerned citizens, which participated in the projects. The volume of work is enormous. But as always, the volume of undone cases is greater. The more we do, the more we see what we have to do. The expectations of citizens are growing every year, and we try to match them. No one can say now that only the center and territories around sports facilities are being improved for guests. These projects show that we are going along in every part of the city”, said the Mayor.

Due to the systematic work on the revival of existing and creation of new parks and squares for the last 4 years, 49 objects accounted more than 2 billion rubles have been renewed and created in Kazan, the total area of park territories has increased by 84 hectares. 34 recreation places have been updated, 15 new ones have appeared. In total, there are 139 parks and squares in Kazan with a total area of about 360 hectares.
