The beaches of Kazan are fully equipped with boats, safety and medical supplies

(KZN.RU, May 22, Anton Nozdrin). Municipal beaches in Kazan are fully equipped with all necessary things: boats, safety and medical supplies. This was announced today at the Business Monday by the head of Department of civil protection Ferdinand Timurkhanov.

According to the speaker, the swimming season in the capital of Tatarstan will start from June, 1st and will last until August, 30th. 4 municipal beaches ("Locomotive", "Lake Glubokoye", " Nizhneye Lake " and " Komsomol Lake "), and 3 organized vacation spot by the lakes Lebyazhye, Izumrudnoye and the lake in Victory Park will be organized for residents of the city.

F. Timurkhanov reported that since March, 9th candidates among students of educational institutions have started training under the program “Sailor-Rescuer”.

Annual technical inspection was held to determine the readiness of the beaches. The inspection checks for saving posts, rooms for first aid, designation of the boundaries of bathing, the availability of preventive stands and more.

“The fact that over the last 5 years we have had no one drowned at the official beaches says a lot about good preparation for swimming season and rescuers training”, - I. Metshin said. Also, the Mayor noted that the water area of the Volga river, Kazanka river, lakes of the capital of Tatarstan is enormous, and the rescuers should be on every beach. The Mayor urged to conduct explanatory work, to explain to children the danger of swimmimg in unauthorized places. Ilsur Metshin instructed the heads of district administrations to monitor the question of preparation of beaches.
