(Kazan City
KZN.RU, 27 June). Moscow is hosting the XV Congress of the party "United
Russia", which is attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and
Chairman of the party, the head of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.
Tatarstan is represented by 32 delegates, headed by the Secretary of the
regional branch of "United Russia", Chairman of the State Council of
the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin,
who was elected at the last Congress in the General Council of the party, is also
involved in the Congress.
The first
day of the Congress was devoted to the discussion of the party's election
program. Tatarstan and other regions pre-sent their proposals, the final
document, with which the party "United Russia" will go to the polls,
will be based on them. Candidates in single-mandate constituencies will also be
proposed at the Congress.
Offers of Tatarstan
branch of “United Russia” are the result of a popular discussion: during the
preparation of a preliminary vote, the participants held about 600 meetings, at
which residents voiced their initiatives and wishes. Generalized and systematic,
they were the basis of the proposals of Tatarstan in the federal program of the
party.
The
election program of the party was discussed at the 10 discussion sites, devoted
to the economy, health care, power efficiency, education, agriculture, culture
and other topics. Tatarstan delegation paid particular attention to the
participation in the round table "Quality of Life" and made proposals
on issues of social protection. Tatarstan's initiatives attracted interest from
delegates. Most of them are included in the final version of the election
program of "United Russia".
Within the
framework of II stage of the XV Congress discussions of operational Program of
the party are held. Thus, "Growth and welfare of economics" was
discussed among the 10 discussion forums. Delegates and guests of the Congress
discussed the economic block of the Operational Program of the party, making
the emphasis on fiscal, budgetary and industrial policies.
