Ilsur Metshin urged Kazan residents to support the "Revival" Fund

(Kazan City KZN.RU, June 17). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin called on residents of Tatarstan and its capital to support "Revival" Fund, which oversees the construction of projects of the Bulgarian Academy of Islamic and restoration of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan.

"Renaissance" Foundation, founded by the first President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, exisrs  more than 6 years. Two major projects of the fund - Bulgar and Sviyazhsk - have become the new pearls of Tatarstan, which attract thousands of pilgrims and tourists. As Ilsur Metshin noted, their revival was made possible only thanks to the help and support of the residents of Tatarstan, major companies and just caring citizens, who sacrificed their money.

This year "Revival" Fund has announced its new projects connected with the revival of the spiritual centers of the republic. On the Day of People's Unity Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has signed a decree on the construction of the Bulgarian Academy of Islamic and restoration of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, which, according to Ilsur Metshin, is a great event for the citizens of the republic. "Traditionally, such projects are implemented with "the whole world" in our republic. It is important to participate in them for each resident of the city and the republic. As small streams form the great sea, the desire to restore the shrine is an important step towards the revival of the spiritual centers", - the Mayor said in his address.

The Mayor urged ministries, departments, enterprises and municipalities of the republic to support the initiative of the Mayor of Kazan and dive one-day salary to the "Revival" Fund for the construction of the Bulgarian Academy of Islamic and restoration of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan. "This is a holy cause, which will unite all the inhabitants of the republic, and the legacy will left to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren," - the Mayor said.
