Rustam Minnikhanov answered questions from the students of the Kazan school №146

(Kazan City KZN.RU, September 9). Today Acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with high school students of the Kazan school №146. The meeting was held in the school's restaurant. The business breakfast was also attended by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Education and Science of RT Engel Fattakhov.

As the press service of the President says, during the meeting students asked about by what criteria Rustam Minnikhanov selects people in his team, what subjects he had loved in school, as well as its culinary preferences.

In particular, Rustam Minnikhanov said that during the life he tried himself in various guises: has worked as an engineer, in energetic sphere, in the system of consumer, etc. "You are young; you have to try yourself in different industries. Never try to become the big boss: all comes with time. The most important thing is to be the best in your field and be able to work in a team. A good specialist will be noticed immediately, "- said the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Remembering school days, he said that his favorite subjects were the exact sciences: mathematics, physics, and chemistry. "We are petrochemical republic. But it is now affected that after school I have studied chemistry insufficiently. There are gaps in some areas. Gradually I try to fill them, "- said Rustam Minnikhanov.

He also advised the students to devote more time to the study of foreign languages. "Today we are not talking about one, but several foreign languages. This is a very powerful competitive advantage ", - assured the Acting President of Tatarstan.

There were more serious questions. In particular, one of the high school students asked Rustam Minnikhanov about what damage Western sanctions cause to economy of the country. Acting President of Tatarstan acknowledged that there is nothing good at sanctions. "They are trying to isolate us - it is very bad. We need new technologies, access to cheap financial resources. It would therefore be wrong to say that there is nothing wrong with sanctions "- he said.

The situation cannot be resolved by itself, said Rustam Minnikhanov:  it is necessary to rebuild the current economic system, based mainly on raw riches of Russia. "Some people say that "the oil needle "- that's bad. But what would have happened to us if we had no oil and gas? Needless to say, it is necessary to develop high technology, engineering, agriculture. We are a powerful petrochemical country. But at the same time a large number of polymers are imported from abroad. But the Soviet Union was a leader in oil refining. All this is necessary to catch up, "- said the acting President of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov also welcomed the introduction of school uniforms in the schools of the republic. It is necessary to bring up the corporate spirit from school, he said.

Finally, students asked Rustam Minnikhanov to name three core values ​​in his life. According to the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan, there are parents, family and work.
