Kazan Rock School «The Road» will celebrate the housewarming in September

In September Kazan School of Rock «The Road» will receive a new "home" - major overhaul in a place, dedicated specifically for musical institution, is almost completed. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin praised the quality of work in the future club of young rockers.

This year the school celebrates its fifth anniversary, and the municipality has allocated premises in the city center - a two-storey building on Moskovskaya, 57a. "It is most important that not only the stars of the Russian and world stage will be able to play in these walls. It is important that our own rock stars would grow here. Even if they all won’t become stars, we need them to grow good musicians and sincere people, "- said the Mayor of Kazan.

According Ilsur Metshin, it is evident that not just builders made new premises, but people who are playing musical instruments and like rock music themselves. During the inspection of classes of the future school head of the city noted that pupils should know the history of rock and to understand how this musical direction was conceived in Kazan. Director Ayrat Yarullin assured that there is a special subject of "History of Rock" in the school.

According Ayrat Yarullin, repair in the facility is in the final stages. At the moment water supply systems, sewerage systems, heating and ventilation are completed. Separately, the director of the Rock school focused on the acoustic system. According to him, soundproof panels on the walls, floor and ceiling, and special doors and windows are installed in each class. All this is necessary to ensure that the young rockers can sing and play musical instruments in comfortable conditions without interfering with each other. "Rooms are prepared and specially designed for children qualitatively and successfully engaged in music" - shared A.Yarullin.

Installation of electrics, floor covering, installation of fire protection system and plumbing are in the final stages. In addition, currently decorative plaster of walls is executed, installing of a canopy at the emergency exit device, porch at the main entrance, as well as the installation of doors is carrying out. "In fact, most of the rooms are ready - we only need to install furniture and equipment," - said A.Yarullin. He also noted that there are not similar projects in Russia to date. The new building is the only platform, originally designed to accommodate a rock school.

According A.Yarullin, in September after the opening there 60-70 children from 7 years will be able to Study. At least 10 children and teenage rock bands will be based here. 10 teachers of different specialties will work with pupils. In plans of the school management is to create not just a training ground, but a kind of urban rock club to young people, taking a great interest in rock music, who could have come here not only to study, but also to communicate in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.

Kazan became the first city in Russia, where a school of rock has appeared. After that, in many cities of the country similar projects have started, talented children and adolescents wanted to become a part of it. Creation of Kazan School was supported at the same time by such mastodons of domestic rock scene as Boris Grebenshchikov, Vadim Samoilov, Andrey Sapunov. Musicians of bands "Voskresenie", "Chizh & Co", "Liapis Trubetskoy", "Tantra" performed workshops for students.
