(KZN.RU, December 31, by Alisa Rozanova) Mayor Ilsur Metshin met with the finalist of "TheVoice" Elmira Kalimullina at Kazan City Hall today. The mayor congratulated the graduate of Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory and her family on taking second place in the music show and awarded her the title of Honored Artist of Tatarstan.
It will be recalled that Elmira Kalimullina finished second in the all-Russian music television show "The Voice." Forty-eight singers from across Russia and the CIS took part in the Channel One competition. In the finals held on December 29, the winner was a vocalist from Zelenodolsk Dina Garipova, and Elmira Kalimullina of Nizhnekamsk took second place.
On December 30, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov signed a decree conferring the title of "Honored Artist of Tatarstan" on the two Tatarstan participants.
Elmira Kalimullina graduated in 2012 majoring in vocal performance. "The Voice" was the young singer's first experience in television projects.
