This year, extensive work was carried out in the capital of Tatarstan to renovate and improve the transport infrastructure. More than 250 road section were improved. Thanks to the support of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan and the federal government, over 21.5 billion rubles were allocated for the improvement of road networks and the landscaping of yards. Igor Kulyazhev, Deputy Head of the Kazan Executive Committee, reported on these developments during a staff meeting.
«21.5 billion rubles is a great amount of money. It may seem even huge to some people, but this is precisely the amount that allows us to maintain and develop the road network according to the high standards of our capital. In a city with millions of people, conducting full-scale road repairs is always a significant task and effort. Along with the amount of work, the size of our enterprises and their capabilities have grown. Today, we are not just changing the surface of the roads, but also implement a comprehensive approach to maintaining the entire road transport system», – said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The Mayor added that Kazan had a limited budget for a long time. «Currently, a number of national projects are being implemented, which were initiated by the leader of our country, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. One of these projects is road construction. I would like to thank the Rais of Tatarstan for his support as well. He personally monitors these issues every Saturday, paying special attention to the road construction complex. Therefore, today more than 85% of roads in Kazan are in good condition», – Ilsur Metshin noted.
