Rustam Minnikhanov invited investors to Kazan at a forum in Dubai

(KZN.RU, April 9). The delegation of Tatarstan, led by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, takes part in the VIII Annual Investment Forum in Dubai.

The delegation of Tatarstan also included Taliya Minullina, the head of the Investment Development Agency of the RT, Marat Sadykov, the minister of Health of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Artur Valiakhmetov, the chairman of the Committee for Economic Development of the Kazan Executive Committee, Adel Nagumanov, the general director of the ANO “Directorate for International Programs”, and others.

The forum is held from 9 to 11 of April. This year it is devoted to the subject “Connecting developed and developing markets through foreign direct investment: partnerships for inclusive growth and sustainable development”.

Before the opening of the forum, the President of the RT delivered a speech at the plenary session on the topic “Debate of world leaders”. The issue of ensuring sustainable development through foreign direct investment was discussed. Heads of states, academies, heads of international organizations and investors from developing and developed countries took part in it. R. Minnikhanov reminded the audience that 20 years ago, Tatarstan was one of the first regions of Russia to adopt a law on investment activity. “One of the most important factors for investors is the stability of the legislation”, noted R. Minnikhanov. “Tatarstan is one of the leading industrial and agricultural regions of Russia. We are leading in the national rating of the state of the investment climate the third year in a row”.

He invited the forum participants to Kazan to the KazanSummit-2018 forum. “I invite you to this major event on May 10-12 and suggest that you consider the possibilities of developing your business in Tatarstan, using the site of our republic to enter the huge Russian market. Or you may just visit the most northern point of acceptance of Islam in the world, it is the hospitable Republic of Tatarstan”, the press service quoted the President of the RT.

Dubai Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) is held annually. It is organized by the UAE Ministry of Economy with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice-President of the UAE, the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai. Representatives of the authorities of various states, international organizations, foreign trade chambers, entrepreneurs, scientists take part in the AIM. It is expected that this year the forum will gather more than 500 companies from 140 countries that will present projects from such spheres of the economy as agriculture, trade, construction, scientific research, energy, finance, banking, insurance, and others.
