The President of the RT and the Mayor of Kazan discussed cooperation with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
(KZN.RU, April 10). The United Arab Emirates is Tatarstan's leading partner in the Middle East, said Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, at a meeting with the crown prince of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Taliya Minullina, the head of the Agency for Investment Development of the RT, Marat Gatin, the deputy director of the Department of External Relations of the President, and Timur Khairutdinov, the trade and economic representative of the RT in Dubai, also took part in the meeting with the crown prince of the emirate.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the sheikh for his hospitality and noted that the relationship between Tatarstan and the UAE has the potential for development. “The United Arab Emirates is our leading partner in the region”, noted the head of the republic. He recalled that Tatarstan regularly participates in the IDEX defense exhibition and the Annual Investment Forum in Dubai, and the UAE representatives are regular guests of the international economic summit “KazanSummit”. Rustam Minnikhanov said that Sultan bin Said Al Mansour, the UAE Economy Minister, is planning to visit this forum in May and invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan to visit Tatarstan within the framework of his visit to Russia, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
Yesterday, the delegation of Tatarstan took part in the opening of the VIII Annual Investment Forum in Dubai, after which they arrived in Abu Dhabi.
