Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the renovated building of the Union of Composers of the RT
(KZN.RU, September 28). Today Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, visited the renovated building of the Union of Composers of the RT at Lobachevsky Street, №10.
Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Leila Fazleeva, an assistant to the President of the RT, Alexey Frolov, the first deputy minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the RT, and others accompanied him.
The building of the Union of Composers is part of the M. Podurueva-Staheev estate, built in 1906, and is an architectural monument. Rashid Kalimullin, the chairman of the Union of Composers of Russia and Tatarstan, gave explanations during the inspection.
Rustam Minnikhanov was told about the repair and restoration work and further tasks. In particular, it was noted the need to allocate additional funds for the improvement of the adjacent territory and repair of the facade. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan instructed the designers to work through this issue and approve the final estimated cost.
The President of Tatarstan inspected the updated classrooms and the concert hall. Rashid Kalimullin demonstrated a collection of ancient Turkic musical instruments in the museum room, which one were used by the Tatars: kylkubyz, saz, dumbyra and others. According to him, it is time to revive the tradition of playing these instruments. “The folk musical culture of the Tatars is very original, they used a variety of musical instruments. However, today only kurai is well-known. It is necessary to restore our musical traditions”, noted Rashid Kalimullin.
He thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for repairing the building of the Union of Composers. “We got a very nice building. All conditions are created for working with young people and holding various meetings. Today, a busy cultural life is taking place here”, said Rashid Kalimullin.
After that, the guests listened to one of the musical compositions, performed on wind and stringed instruments of the Turkic peoples, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
