R. Minnikhanov and I.Metshin opened the new polylingual school №180 in the Sovetsky district

(KZN.RU, September 1, Zilya Gayfi). The first school bell rang in the new gymnasium №180 of the Sovetsky district of Kazan on the Day of Knowledge. The multidisciplinary polylingual gymnasium, designed for 1224 students, opened on September 1 at the Prospect Pobedy. The solemn lineup in the new educational institution was held with the participation of Lyudmila Ogorodova, the deputy minister of Education and Science of the RF, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Engel Fattakhov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Education and Science of the RT.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated children, parents, and teachers on a new academic year. “The today is a landmark event, we are opening an excellent school. This is the second new school in Kazan. This morning, we opened the same school in Naberezhnye Chelny. Our main task is to create good conditions so that our children can obtain competitive advantages. The school is well equipped and is one of the most modern. We wish you successes, and that the gymnasium was the most advanced and the students successful. It is gratifying that today we celebrate two holidays: Kurban Bayram and the Day of Knowledge. Happy holiday!”, said the President of the RT and presented to the management of the institution a certificate for the purchase of educational equipment.

Ilsur Metshin addressed the citizens with a speech. “Dear citizens of Kazan, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge! On this sunny day, I want to wish our children to grow up happy and healthy, to receive knowledge, and grow for joy to us. This is a big holiday, the great school was opened. I want to thank everyone who took part in the construction. I wish the teachers successes so that our children can realize themselves in this wonderful school”, said the Mayor of Kazan.

Lyudmila Ogorodova congratulated residents on the Day of Knowledge on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF and noted that the gymnasium should become not only a center of education but also an extracurricular life. “All who enter the path of education become our friends. For our first-graders, this means that they stand not only on the path of cognition. The new school is also the center of additional education, where children will develop their abilities in sports and creativity and where, undoubtedly, you will go hand in hand with teachers to develop patriotism and citizenship. This is very important for us today”, noted the deputy minister.

Lyudmila Ogorodova also cited congratulations from Olga Vasilieva, the minister of Education and Science of the RF. “September 1 is always the start of a new stage in the personal Olympic movement. The cumulative result in it determines the further life: professional interests, the semantic and moral content, and the points of spiritual and cultural support. We begin a big common cause on the Day of Knowledge, the creative work of knowledge and discovery. I am sure that a new generation of conquerors of space, ocean depths, scientists, engineers, and humanists is born today. The system of education and science will do everything to ensure that this takes place. Happy holiday, dear friends!”, Lyudmila Ogorodova quoted the minister.

Gazinur Akhmetov, the general director of the OOO “Ak-Tash”, congratulated everyone on the Day of Knowledge on behalf of the builders and gave Ildar Sayakhov, the school's director, a symbolic key after the welcoming speeches. Ildar Sayakhov thanked the leadership of the republic and the city for the opening of a new school.

The solemn lineup ended with the launch of balls. Rustam Minnikhanov and a first-grade student gave the first school bell.

Further, Ildar Sayakhov, the director of the institution, conducted a tour of the new school for guests. Lyudmila Ogorodova, Rustam Minnikhanov, and Ilsur Metshin inspected the library, classrooms, and the dining room. Gymnastics classes for girls and martial arts for boys were already in full swing in the gym hall, young swimmers practiced in the swimming pool, and a festive concert was organized in the assembly hall.

1000 children will sit at the school desks of the gymnasium №180 in the new school year, and 38 classes are formed. The teaching staff consists of 86 teachers. Teaching will be conducted in two main areas: philological and information technology.

Ildar Sayakhov, who previously worked as deputy director for studies at lyceum-boarding school №7 in the Novo-Savinovsky district, was elected director of the new polylingual gymnasium by the competitive selection.
