September 1, Anton Nozdrin). Today, on the Day of Knowledge, a new
multidisciplinary school №181 in the RC “The Sedmoe Nebo” of the Sovetsky
district was opened in Kazan. More than 700 students sat at the desks of the
educational institution, about 200 of which are first-graders. Alexey Pesoshin,
the prime minister of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan,
congratulated pupils, parents, and teachers on the beginning of the school year
and the opening of the school on the solemn lineup.

reminded the audience that the last academic year was a success. “Our students
showed a traditionally high score for the Unified State Exam, they pleased with
their Olympiad scores and distinguished themselves at the international level”,
said the prime minister of the RT. He noted that much attention is paid to the
infrastructure of education in Tatarstan. “Almost 1000 schools and
kindergartens have been renovated, and 36 new schools have been built from 2011
to 2016. And today, 4 new schools are opening in the republic”, said A.
Pesoshin. Two of them are in Kazan, one – in Naberezhnye Chelny, and another
one – in the Vysokaya Gora.
The prime
minister specially addressed the parents of the students. “We must ensure
continuity in education together with the school, with the family, so that our
children can become our reliable support and guarantee of all new
achievements”, noted the speaker and congratulated everyone on the new academic
year.
Ilsur
Metshin called the opening of the new school in one of the most actively
developing micro-districts of the capital a long-awaited event and thanked
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and the Government of the RT for
the construction. “Today we are delivering 2 new schools. We really need them
because the number of kids grows every year”, said the Mayor of the city.
The head of
the city congratulated pupils and parents on the Day of Knowledge on behalf of
all residents of Kazan. “I wish the children to please their parents, teachers,
and all of us. Be successful, diligent and happy”, said the Mayor.
Dina
Abdullina, the director of the institution, made a speech as well. “We have a
double holiday today. We are not just going to school, we are going to the new
school”, she said and together with the young students thanked the leadership
of the republic, the city, and the builders. After the solemn words, Dina
Abdullina received a symbolic big key from the school and a certificate for 100
thousand rubles.
The new
school also laid a new tradition. After the lineup, first-graders together with
their parents planted the Alley of First-graders on the territory of the
institution.
The new
multidisciplinary school is designed for 1224 pupils. Students of this school
will be able to study in depth the number of subjects depending on the needs of
parents and the labor market. Training here will be built taking into account
the profile of education: physics and mathematics, chemistry, biology,
information technology, and humanities. Also, the music school will work on the
basis of the institution. The school has a pool with two bowls, two gyms, an
assembly hall for 560 seats, a choreographic room, and a radio studio.
The
director gave a detailed tour of the institution for Alexey Pesoshin and Ilsur
Metshin. They looked at the classrooms, where the teachers held their class
hours at that time. The Mayor of Kazan spoke with the pupils of 1 and 5 grades.
Young schoolchildren told the guests that their mood was very good, and they
were happy to sit at the desks of the new school. “The school is cool",
the students declared and promised to study well.
The
director showed the assembly hall to the Prime Minister and the Mayor, where a
concert was held for the students in honor of the Day of Knowledge. Also,
guests viewed the swimming pool, gym, carpentry and locksmith workshops.
Guzel
Ananieva, the general director of the Department of Food and Social Catering,
introduced the school menu in the canteen of the institution. She noted that a
special mobile application was developed for schoolchildren, which allows
appraising of menu dishes, leave feedback and suggestions. According to G.
Ananieva, the specialists will react promptly to all complaints of
schoolchildren and eliminate the revealed violations. Ilsur Metshin instructed
to add information about healthy food and proper nutrition to the application.
Damir
Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Ilsur
Khadiullin, the head of the City Education Department, Rustem Gafarov, the head
of the Sovetsky district’s administration, and others also took part in the
event.
