(KZN.RU, May 24, Alsu Safina). Relocation of citizens to the new
apartment blocks on Gafuri street from unfit houses is underway in Kazan. About
50 families have already moved to four houses of 88 apartments each. The Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin personally congratulated Anna Fedorova’s and Valentin Cherkunov’s
family on a new apartment in an apartment block on Gafuri street.
State Housing Fund has passed to the Executive Committee 217 apartments
in the houses on Gafuri street for resettlement of Kazan citizens, who live in
municipal unfit houses. Thus, about 200 families living in unfit housing
conditions will receive the keys to their new apartments in the nearest future.
Apartments in these houses will also be available for residents who are owners
of unfit dwellings.
The Mayor of Kazan examined one still empty one-room apartment in a new
building on Gafuri street. Also, the Mayor congratulated Anna Fedorova’s and
Valentin Cherkunov’s family on a new apartment in an apartment block on Gafuri
street. They are raising three daughters, the youngest of whom is 11 months
old. The Mayor came bearing gifts for the big family.
Ilsur Metshin inspected the apartment and was pleased with what he saw. “Beautiful
view from the windows, school across the street, repaired street – there’s
everything to have a happy life”, - he said.
The Mayor thanked all those who support the
Federal Program of Relocation of Citizens from Unfit Housing, including Russian
President Vladimir Putin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the
head of State Housing Fund. “We’d had 151 unfit houses. 72 of them were resettled.
Together with the State Housing Fund, with the builders we want to help to
relocate the residents of the remaining 79 unfit houses”, - Ilsur Metshin said.
