Deputies of Kazan City Duma submitted changes to the map of zones of town-planning regulations

(KZN.RU, May 15, Anton Nozdrin). At the XVI off-schedule session of Kazan City Duma under the chairmanship of the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin deputies made a decision to submit changes to the map of zones of town-planning regulations. Two territories – near Kazan Arena stadium and the Lebyazhie lake have undergone changes.

The embankment near Kazan Arena stadium will include three zones: sport and active recreation, family recreation and amusement park. There will be a walking zone with a tree nursery and a botanical garden and the longest bench in the world - 2 km long. There will also be the Russia's first artificial Wakeboarding park, observation deck and numerous places for sports activities. Public hearings on this matter took place in February.

I. Metshin suggested the relevant deputy commission and the head of the district to attentively address the issue of preservation of the ecosystem of the territory. "Investors have to hear and listen to ecologists, public organizations when they bring this project to life,” - I. Metshin has emphasized.

Some territories of the Lebyazhie lake will transfer from recreational and landscape zone into zone of individual housing estate.
