I. Metshin: “Kazan citizens can see how much have been done: many issues are solving systematically in the city”

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, gave this assessment of the ended election campaign today at the Business Monday. Ilsur Metshin said that, according to preliminary data at 7.00 am on September 19, turnout at the polling stations in Kazan was almost 54%, in Tatarstan – 82.7%.

The Mayor also announced the preliminary results of voting at 7.00 on a single Federal District Kazan. “The “United Russia” won a resounding victory, gaining 73.45%. In the Communist Party - 6.5%, in the “Fair Russia” - 5.2%, the Liberal Democratic Party - 4.5%, the “Communist of Russia” - 2.4%, the “Yabloko” - 1.5%, the “Rodina” - 1%,” said I. Metshin.

Fatih Sibagatullin received almost 60%, Ildar Gilmutdinov - 55% in single-mandate constituencies. Irshat Minkin has become a leader among the single-mandates, who scored more than 62%. “We look forward to the results, which the CEC RT must announce, in the hope that our colleagues will have serious representation in the State Duma,” said Ilsur Metshin.

“The next tranche of confidence to those in the “United Russia”, said Ilsur Metshin. “This result suggests that the population of the republic and Kazan trust us, and we value this trust, it is the groundwork for future work for us.”

The Mayor pointed out that much work has been done by everyone, headed by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, which held a large number of meetings in the republic and Kazan. “We held meetings with voters in the yards, in labor collectives. Everywhere we hear that government party is trusted. We have received requires, which are studied carefully. This will be the subject for the next term, not only for the State Duma,” said Ilsur Metshin.

These are global projects that bring the benefit for residents”, said the Mayor of the city. He also drew attention to the fact that 53 national programs implemented in Tatarstan and Kazan in particular: repair of yards, road construction, overhaul of houses, and construction of sports fields, FAPs and many others.

Ilsur Metshin thanked all those who contributed to the organization of the election campaign in Kazan. “The burden of responsibility for the organization of election participants, to ensure law and order all the procedures, was laid on our shoulders,” said the Mayor. “The election campaign carried out in Kazan flawlessly, everything was organized according to the law, no violations were allowed according to the data on present hour.”

The Mayor of Kazan thanked voters for the activity, which, as Ilsur Metshin noted, was seriously higher than in other cities with population more than a million. “Kazan voters showed civil consciousness, and it's very nice,” the Mayor said. “It is important that young people come to the polling stations, many of them voted for the first time."

Ilsur Metshin reminded that according to a tradition everyone, who voted in the polling station, received the bracelet, which gave the right to free travel on public transport and attending events at the stadium “Kazan Arena”. The Mayor announced that 150 thousand people visited the stadium throughout the day, according to the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kazan. “Festive atmosphere reigned. The square was full even in the final show, which we visited, in the pouring rain; people stood under umbrellas and did not go anywhere”, said the Mayor.
