As the

Tatarstan. “Taking into account those projects that FISU is going to organize
in Kazan, and the fact that Oleg Matytsin, the president of the organization,
went all the way for the preparation and holding of the Universiade with us
since the first day, we could not refuse”, said Ilsur Metshin. He pointed out
that Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, has approved this
decision.
The Mayor
said that the international volunteer camp, which will be based in the capital
of Tatarstan, is among the projects that are now being discussed with the FISU.
In addition, the FISU came out with the initiative to create the association of
cities, where the Universiade was held, and a training center. “When we started
the preparations for the Universiade, we did not know where and how to start. And
there are a huge number of cities, which participate in the bidding campaign,”
said I. Metshin. He said that, according to the organizers, the headquarters of
the Association will also be located in Kazan.
“Our team
members have repeatedly demanded in the national and federal levels. At this
time, our colleague entered the international orbit”, said Ilsur Metshin.
“Sadly, we do not want to farewell”. He thanked Igor Sivov for his work. “It
was a brilliant period, large, complex, and responsible, where there was a lot
of work”, said the head of the city.
I. Sivov
was the deputy general director of the ANO “Executive Directorate of the XXVII
World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan”. “I, as the chairman of the organizing
committee of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Universiade, can say
that Igor Sivov was the second after Igor Krutoy”, said I. Metshin. “He is
creative, bright, talented, and very responsible. I am confident that these
qualities will be shown on a new front work”.
Igor Sivov
noted that he worked as the head of the Kazan Executive Committee for 2 years
and 8 months. “It was a lifetime for me. What I was, when have come here, and
who I now become – it is two different people”, he said. “All, which was in
that time, is a lot of experience, which cannot be studied or read in books, it
