September 14). The new building of the perinatal center opened in Kazan at the
Republican Clinical Hospital. The building, located at the Orenburg tract,
designed for 100 beds. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, Olga
Golodets, the deputy Prime Minister of the RF, Ildar Halikov, the Prime
Minister of the RT, Adel’ Vafin, the Minister of Health of the RT, and Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, attended the opening ceremony.
Only one
institution with the functions of the perinatal center exists in the republic:
the obstetric department for 95 beds as part of the Republican Clinical
Hospital. Since these beds were not enough to accommodate all the high-risk
group of women, the decision to build the new building with 100 beds was made.
Construction began on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital in 2014.
The new building is equipped with modern facilities, which enables to provide
high-tech and specialized medical care for children, who were born prematurely,
and women with extragenital pathology.
Medical
assistance will be provided in the new perinatal center of the Republican
Clinical Hospital in the three-level stage: during pregnancy, childbirth and
the postpartum period. Deliveries will take in 10 modern individual delivery
rooms, where a stay of future dads and relatives is possible. The presence of
modern respiratory equipment to maintain breathing preterm, modern incubators
with a certain temperature and humidity to create a comfortable environment for
the care of newborns is expected in the intensive care unit for 16 beds.
Neonatal monitors, connected to a central station, will allow monitoring the
status of 16 children. Little patients will be transferred in the neonatal
pathology unit for further nursing. Postpartum department for 70 beds is located
on two floors, which provides joint staying of mother and child.
It is
planned to take delivery of 8-9 thousand pregnant women in the perinatal center
annually, reports the press service of the President of the Republic of
Tatarstan.
