Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the builders of the republic on their professional holiday

(KZN.RU, 17 August). The building complex is the foundation of republic economic development. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, said this today at the festive event, dedicated to the celebration of the Builder’s Day, in the Kazan Center “Pyramida”. Mintimer Shaimiev, the Tatarstan State Advisor, Ildar Khalikov, Prime minister of the RT, Leonid Stavitskiy, the acting minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the RF, Irek Faizullin, the minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, heads of ministries and departments of the RT, as well as various construction companies, deputies of Tatarstan State Council and others also participated in the celebration.

The construction industry is crucial for our republic and for the whole country, said Rustam Minnikhanov in his welcoming. He noted that the prospect of any territory development determined by its investment attractiveness. Tatarstan is one of the most investment-intensive regions of Russia today, added the President. Last year the total investment in fixed assets amounted 617 billion rubles. “If we did not have a powerful building complex - the builders, installers, design institutes, construction industry – it would be impossible to solve this problem”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President reminded that about 35 different programs being implemented in the republic, the majority of which related to the construction and repair of schools, kindergartens, FAPs, hospitals, roads and other infrastructure. Those competences, possessed by our builders, allow us to solve any problems, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to the President, the past Universiade-2013 became a serious test for the construction industry of the republic. "We were able to perform a tremendous amount of work in a short period of time. Football Stadium and many sports facilities are unique in its kind”, he said.

“We are proud of our builders, strongly support the construction industry. The competent work of the construction industry is the key to sustainable development of the country”, concluded the President of the RT.

After that Rustam Minnikhanov handed over the State awards of the RT and Tatarstan President Gratitude to a number of heads of construction companies.

Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated the participants on their professional holiday and noted that Tatarstan is proud of the building complex. Very few regions show such indicators today, marked the State Advisor of RT and added that Tatarstan doubled the annual input of housing in comparison with the period of Perestroika. The same applies to Kazan.

According to Mintimer Shaimiev, the profession of builder is akin to the profession of the farmer by its importance. “First of all, we need bread on the table and a roof under our head for the arrangement of our lives in the first place. Perhaps there are no more complex works than these. You have to work in most difficult circumstances, but you manage. Thank you for your selfless work”, said the State Advisor of RT.

Mintimer Shaimiev said that the construction of the Bulgarian Academy of Islamic and reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Our Lady of Kazan Icon started this year. "We have learned a lot over the past 10-15 years. Today, we undertake projects for the revival of our material heritage. We maintain for future generations that, what was built a few centuries ago”, he said. “We felt confident, because all inhabitants of our country took part in this work, and this is the main”.

Then State Advisor of RT has awarded heads of construction companies with Gratitude Letters of the National Fund on revival of history and culture monuments of the RT, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

Irek Faizullin thanked the leadership of the republic for the high evaluation of the Ministry of Construction of RT. He said that today 105 thousand people are employed in the construction industry, 33 thousand work in the utilities industry and over 14 thousand - in the area of architectural design.

"Our organizations have learned to perform the most serious tasks in Tatarstan and outside the Republic. We can be entrusted with the construction of objects of any complexity. Today we have come to the unification and standardization of many projects. A number of projects simultaneously implemented in different municipalities of the republic thanks to the President of Tatarstan”, said Irek Faizullin.

Leonid Stavitskiy, the acting minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the RF, and Konstantin Tsitsin, the general director and the chairman of the State Corporation - Fund of assistance to reforming housing and communal services, also made their congratulations.
