I. Metshin: "The appointment of M.Zotov shows the credibility of the people who participated in the organization of the Universiade"

(Kazan City KZN.RU, May 23, Kseniya Shvetsova). Mikhail Zotov, former head of the Development Assistance Committee of the Executive Committee of Tourism of the city, will head the Centre for the preparation for the Third World Military Winter Games to be held this winter in Sochi. This was announced today at a meeting of VII session of Kazan City Duma, which took place in the Executive Committee of the city, by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

Military World Games is an analogue of the Olympic Games - both summer and winter, with the difference that military men take part in it. This year they will be held in Russia for the first time. Participants will compete in eight disciplines, games will be attended by 4 thousands of athletes from 60 countries. The main organizers of the games are the Ministry of Defence and the famous sports club "CSKA".

I. Metshin noted that the offer to head the Centre for the preparation of the Third Winter Military World Games confirms the high value of Kazan personnel at the federal level. "The government gave us high confidence, and in this case we cannot refuse our colleagues from Moscow, - I. Metshin said. - Our employees develop, they are claimed - it could not fail to please. This shows great confidence in the people who showed their skills in the organization of the Universiade, Championships in Aquatics.
