The winners of the Republican contest "Philanthropist of 2015" were awarded in Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 14 April). The winners of the Republican contest "Philanthropist of 2015" were awarded today by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event took place on the HTEC "Corston".

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, chairman of the Regional Public Charity Foundation for children with leukemia of RT Vladimir Vavilov, executive director of the "National Restoration Fund for Historical and Cultural Monuments of RT", Deputy Chairman of State Council of RT Tatiana Larionova, Deputy Chairman of State Council of RT, chairman of the Union of journalists of RT Rimma Ratnikova, heads of the republican ministries and departments, deputies of Tatarstan State Council, representatives of the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers of RT, various public organizations.

After welcoming the participants, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that 10 years ago on the initiative of the first President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Republican Council on charity was established, and since 2007 in this noble activity already involved the entire republic.

"During this time over 1,700 people participated in the competition, philanthropists allocated 23 billion rubles. And now every year in Tatarstan such events are held, which are attended by large companies, small and medium businesses. Today I welcome all my colleagues in this chamber, philanthropists, large families with children. I sincerely want to thank you for the work you are doing", - Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Speaking about the contest "Philanthropist of the Year", Rustam Minnikhanov noted that "this tradition must be preserved and continued". "Philanthropist is indifferent person, providing assistance in various fields. I want to congratulate the winners and those who are actively involved in all of our social projects. Thanks to our joint work Tatarstan is very different from other regions, and that is due the contribution of each of you,"- he added.

Then RT President presented awards to the winners in the categories "Path of Kindness" and "Kind Circle". The winners in the nomination "Good Deed" were congratulated by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan informs. Also during the event a video in memory of the philanthropist Asgat Galimzyanov was shown, who died in January this year.
