In Kazan the city's main New Year tree was lit with a "magical selfie"

This is the highest and the most beautiful New Year tree in capital of Tatarstan, which will delight visitors with a new updated light illumination and bushy branches this year. Mayor Ilsur Metshin participated at the lighting ceremony of the New Year tree. He wished the residents and visitors a happy New Year and execution of cherished desires.

"We all, regardless of age, are waiting for the New Year's miracle - I. Metshin addressed the audience. - We lived in 2015 in the work, creativity and friendship, our kids pleased us. I wish that next year will bring the fulfillment of all the wildest hopes, and all that we dreamed about will come true. I wish you happiness, health and a happy New Year! ".

The celebration on the occasion of the opening of the main New Year tree in Kazan has been very unusual this year: the organizers, trying to attract children, have chosen gadgets as the main theme of the fairy performance. As noted by the deputy head of the Executive Committee of the Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova, it is not easy to inspire today's children with conventional scenes with bunnies and wolves.

While "green beauty" were shining with lights, children learn that the Internet not always brings benefit - sometimes you need to read books, going out with friends... Before the appearance of Santa Claus (who, incidentally, is fluent in IT -technology), children got acquainted with a fake winter wizard - Santa Internet. But when really Santa Claus appeared on stage, the kids, of course, recognized him. The wizard asked his friend Internet to come to children as the aid for school and get acquainted with new stories without disturbing live a full life.

Tomorrow everyone will be able to join the New Year's festivities in the Old Tatar settlement, where it was transferred from the square in front of the theater "Ekiyat" because of the weather. At 16.00 on the territory of the settlement a New Year town will open, which main theme will be the upcoming Year of cinema.
