Ilsur Metshin held a traditional New Year's meeting with journalists

(Kazan City KZN.RU, December 23, Zilya Gayfi). Traditional New Year's meeting of the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin with reporters was held in the capital's City Hall. During an informal conversation the Mayor discussed with representatives of the federal, republican and municipal media topical issues of urban policy, summed up the year and shared the plans for the upcoming 2016.

Ilsur Metshin began chatting with reporters with a discussion of, perhaps, the main concern of today - what will happen to the economy of the city in 2016. "I'm not an economist, but the business executive. But there is a strong belief that tomorrow will be better than yesterday. Kazan is gradually becoming a post-industrial city. Helicopter, military-industrial complexes develop. Our city-forming enterprises grow. At the same time active social policy is continuing - this year no program was minimized. New year starts, and we hope that all of obligations will be fulfilled, "- the head of the city said.

Kazan Mayor called the further expansion of economic indicators, the strengthening of social sphere, repair and construction of housing, social institutions, as well as landscaping the priorities of the next year for himself and all the city services. "We still have a criticism of the housing sector - there are areas in the city that require repair. Another priority is to support small and medium businesses. We will continue to work to reduce the terms of coordination of business projects, elimination of administrative barriers. In general, 12 priority areas in which the city will develop in the next five years are identified. Our goal is to make Kazan the most comfortable city for life "- said the Mayor.

During the meeting, the journalists were also interested in the allocation land to large families, improvement of settlements, and the development of transport infrastructure.

Head of the city also paid special attention to the development of the football club "Rubin", whose president Ilsur Metshin is. According to the Mayor, search for a head coach still remains urgent. At the same time, the tasks set before the club at the last season are fulfilled. In the future "Rubin" will continue to work to improve its status in the standings.

At the end of the meeting Ilsur Metshin thanked journalists for cooperation in the past year. "The year was marked by bright events, republican programs and urban projects. Thanks to the media residents learned about all the positive changes and developments in the life of the city. I also want to thank all Kazan residents for the creative work. The results can be seen in the number of houses handed over, kindergartens have been built, and facilities have been renovated. I hope next year will be even better,"- said the Mayor and congratulated everyone with Happy New Year.
