Opening the meeting, Ilsur Metshin noted the importance of the matter under discussion. Improving the road network of Kazan is one of the priorities of urban policy. The first positive steps in this area were made in preparation for the Universiade. "We worked on drafting of CSOT a lot of time. Great, painstaking work has been done. A big step towards the development of the road network of the city was made in preparation for the Universiade. According to the service "Yandex.Traffic", today we are one of the most prosperous cities in Russia in this regard. However, this does not entitle us to rest on our laurels. We must address this issue systemically. In the process of drafting of CSOT we got a lot of offers from indifferent Kazan residents. Definitely, this document will not lie on the shelf and gather dust. Of course, the money in the budget is never enough, but we hope the President of Tatarstan will help. I want to thank the United Nations for its development program, because it participated in the co-financing ", - said the Mayor.
Before the performances of experts, a video, which contained an analysis of the transport situation in Kazan, as well as the main options for the road network, was presented to participants of the meeting.
