I. Metshin: “Teenage clubs bring up the steel character in children”

(Kazan City KZN.RU, November 11, Ksenia Shvetsova). Youth club "Box" opened in the Privolzhsky district of Kazan after overhaul. Activities at the club are very much in demand - here current champions in boxing were brought up and future champions continue to educate. Mayor Ilsur Metshin praised the updated club. The Mayor was accompanied by the deputy head of the Executive Committee on Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova, chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs Sergei Mironov, head of the administration of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Andrei Lobov.

The building, where a major overhaul has not been done over 23 years, has changed beyond recognition. As the director of teenage club "Box" Ramil Mayzanov told to the Mayor, renovation of the building started in early May and ended in November. The wooden floors, that were completely rotten, were replaced, roof was warmed, a powerful ventilation system was put, new equipment, including punching bags of the modern type, was purchased. Now comfortable locker rooms, showers also appeared for the boys. And also the number of students in the club significantly increased - after the repair capacity of halls expanded, and now instead of the 350 wards of the club is visited by 400 boys. Children are engaged not only in boxing, but also in kickboxing, military melee combat, physical therapy, ice hockey and football.

"Total we have two halls in our club - a large hall for boxing and multi-purpose hall for women's boxing and kickboxing - R.Mayzanov says. - Initially, it was a special club with a section of boxing, and now it is the military-patriotic association, and the number of sections have increased".

Ilsur Metshin examined the updated club, spoke to the coaches and the wards, and told the children about why it is so important to revive the tradition of the youth clubs. "I still remember my club coach very well because he taught not only athletic skills, but instilled human qualities, - said I. Metshin to guys. - This is the essence of youth clubs - not only a family is raising children. The feeling of the team, respect for elders, the ability to stand up for each other – that all is brought up in youth clubs. They strengthen a steel character in children, "- said the Mayor.

There are difficult teenagers among the students of the club, who significantly change after training. Educational process is the main feature of the work of youth clubs, stressed the Mayor of Kazan.

Many natives of the club became champions of Russia and the world in boxing, now there are talented children among pupils, they are likely to bring glory to their home city.

There are new punching bags among the sports equipment, which was bought for the club. The Mayor boxed with one of them and left his autograph on boxing gloves in the conclusion of his visit, it will now be stored in the Museum of fame of the "Box" club.

"The more youth clubs we will have, the better it will be, - said I. Metshin. - Thanks to our President Rustam Minnikhanov for the fact that we are seeing the first steps of the revival of youth clubs in Kazan. Through this practice we take out the children from the street, take them away from the computer, bring up in the team spirit in them. No matter what kind of section they visit: boxing, kickboxing, hockey or IT - it is important that children learn to listen and respect each other ".

Recall, 100 million rubles has been allocated by the decree of Cabinet of Ministers of RT for repairs of youth clubs this year. Under this program five clubs in Kazan: "Start", "Koyash Nury", "Sneakers", "Boxing" and "Ephebiya" were renovated at totaling 38.3 million rubles. In addition, furniture and equipment were purchased at 2.5 million rubles.
