Ilsur Metshin: "Fire of Victory will forever burn in the hearts of Russians"

Today in Kazan Victory Park was held a meeting on the opening of Post № 1 at the Eternal Flame within the limits of the all-Russian action "Watch of memory".
 
Traditionally students of schools, colleges and university students, as well as leaders and activists of youth organizations take over the Post number 1 at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Park and Gorky Park on May 1. But this year while celebrating the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on the initiative of the activists was decided to start the action earlier - at the Day of astronautics. At the meeting was also given the start to the action "George's Ribbon".
 
Watch the memory of Kazan youth will be in two positions. Post number 1 is located at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Park, Post № 2 - at the Eternal Flame in the Gorky Park. From 12 to April 30, the post will be stand by the students of universities and secondary specialized educational institutions, as well as leaders and activists of youth organizations. From 1 to May 10 for schoolchildren will take over the posts. According to the leader of the youth association "Fatherland" of RT Timur Kamaletdinov, the duration of the relief for schoolchildren is 10 minutes, for the students - 20 minutes. Time on duty - from 10 to 18 hours.
 
Today the meeting was attended by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, assistant to the President of Tatarstan on social issues Tatiana Larionova, acting deputy Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrei Kondratyev, head of Novo-Savinovsky area Timur Alibaev, chairman of veterans' (disabled) of war and military service organization of the RT Akhat Yulashev and other officials. At the meeting were also invited members of the Great Patriotic war and workers of rear, which, according to the Mayor, are about 37 thousand in Kazan.
 
Ilsur Metshin stressed that by the holding of such actions as "Post № 1", "George's Ribbon" we pay tribute to the heroism and memory of our grandfathers, who died on the battlefield in the name of our bright future. "This is another opportunity to draw the attention of youth on the role played by our soldiers and workers of rear during the tragic war - said mayor. - Unfortunately, in today's world there are attempts to turn the story, to belittle the significance of the Great Victory of the Soviet Union. The Mayor thanked the veterans for their patriotic work they are doing with young people.
 
The head of Kazan is sure that it is necessary to surround the survivor war veterans with care and warmth. In connection with this very timely has become the initiative of activists of youth organizations of the republic to take the patronage of the veterans, to assist them in the house. Ilsur Metshin congratulated the veterans on the coming of the great date, and assured that the fire of Victory will forever burn in the hearts of Russians.
 
In his turn Akhat Yulashev admitted that the conduction of the patriotic actions touches war veterans deeply. He warmly thanked the activists of youth organizations, the best of which are standing the Post number 1 at the Eternal Flame. This year honor of the first step up to the guard of memory had the inmates of cadet classes of Stolbischensky secondary school of Laishevsky area.
 
The meeting ended with the laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame.
