As many as 304 trees on the embankment of Nizhny Kaban Lake were planted in a landscaped area along Marjani Street. Among them are bird cherry, willow, maple, pine and other species. In addition, 282 trees will be planted within a month. The third stage of landscaping will provide for a record number of new trees – a total of 586 large-sized trees. Previously, the largest number of trees were planted during the landscaping of the new Galiaskar Kamal Theater.
«The Nizhny Kaban Lake embankment is one of our most important city projects. We began reconstruction back in 2015, when only few people could have imagined how much this territory would change. The embankment has become a point of attraction for Kazan residents and tourists. Today, the final stage of work is underway, construction readiness has reached 80%. The embankment of Lake Nizhny Kaban has already been landscaped with 300 trees. In addition, 300 large–sized trees will be planted there shortly. Next year, we will develop an upper promenade and create a single public space around the lake. And our multi–year landscaping project will be completed, and our city will receive one of the best recreational areas in the country», – said the Mayor of Kazan.
It is planned to plant more than 92 thousand different plants. More than 6,000 large shrubs and 12,800 small shrubs, 12,200 perennial flowers, up to 35,000 cereals, 5 thousand spring-flowering (small-leaved), as well as 20,500 water plants will be planted in early August, as soon as the installation of the automatic irrigation system is completed.

The construction readiness of the Kaban Lake embankment has reached 80%.
The construction of a wooden deck with fences is 50% completed, granite work and the installation of steps are continuing. A multifunctional center is being built next to the Karim Tinchurin Theater. Next year, it is planned to create an upper promenade, further develop a network of viewing platforms, large-scale landscaping of the territory and form a single public space on Marjani Street.
