Since the beginning of the summer season, 930 different events have been held in parks of Kazan. Over 535,000 people have attended them. The summer program includes traditional events that have become hallmarks, as well as new activities - street theater festivals, workshops, and concerts.
«We have put a lot of effort into the improvement of parks, creating or renovating green spaces every year. They have become centers of attraction for residents. Since the beginning of the season, over half a million people visited events in Kazan parks. Our main goal is for Kazan families to spend time with their children in parks, for young people to discover new talents, and for neighbors to become friends. A city blossoms when it is filled with such positive events», – said Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin.
The opening of the summer season in parks took place on May 23 in the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest. The diverse family program gathered more than 10 thousand people.
A musical format “Karaoke with a choir” has become a main feature of this summer season. 3,500 people attended performances of the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan under the direction of Milyausha Tamindarova, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Last week, a musical show “Octave” was held in the Lyadskoy Garden, which gathered a record 4,000 viewers. Local musicians – SASHA AND THE LANDS and the band TERELYA performed there.
From July 10 to 12, a street theater festival took place in the Black Lake Park and at the Kazan Kremlin. Over 12,000 people had an opportunity to see various theatrical genres from Kazan, Moscow, Ufa, Samara, Almetyevsk and Kstovo.
Various workshops take place in the Black Lake Park and in Aksyonov Park. The lottery tournament has also become a novelty of the season.
The many activities take place on the Big Blue Lake, in the children's park Elmai, on the embankment of Lake Kaban, as well as on the boulevard on Serova Street.
The end of the summer season is scheduled for the end of September.
