A Family Week will take place in Kazan on July 6-12. The week is dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. More than 100 events will take place in the city. In addition, 13 married couples will be awarded for a strong marriage. Elena Studenikina, Head of the Civil Registration Department, reported about the festive program at a staff meeting.
“Family is one of the most important and basic values of our society. It gives us support, love, and energy. As soon as a person starts a family, the energy doubles. A birth of a child changes life completely. We continue in our children and grandchildren. There is nothing more valuable than family. As for those artificial ideas that they are trying to impose on us, they are alien to us. We stand for traditional values, and our common task is to educate the younger generation on this basis,”- said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The festive events began on July 5 at the Center for Unique Craftsmanship, where four outstanding Kazan families were awarded for their contribution to the development of the city and the Republic.
On July 8, the festive events will continue at the Cyril Church on Chistopolskaya Street. The holiday will begin with a procession and the laying of flowers at the monument to Saints Peter and Fevronia. The event will include workshops in decorative and applied arts, a charity fair, as well as an entertainment program.
Thirteen Kazan couples will be awarded the medal “For Love and Fidelity” at the National Museum of Tatarstan. There will also be an awarding ceremony for pedagogical, cultural and labor dynasties, families of participants in the special military operation.
