I. Metshin on the shipment of the 96th batch of special cargo: “Kazan residents support our guys in one desire to win”

Kazan shipped the 96th special cargo to the special military operation zone. Part of the equipment will be handed over to soldiers, the other is intended to restore the infrastructure of the supported Lisichansk. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the formation of the cargo. 

“We are shipping a combined cargo with all the necessary equipment at the request of soldiers, and assistance for the supported territories of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye. To date, the total volume of aid to these towns has reached 1.6 thousand tons, – Ilsur Metshin emphasized. – At the request of the regiment commander, Hero of Russia Ainur Safiullin, we have prepared special equipment: quadrocopters, walkie-talkies, generators, as well as other specialized equipment. The soldiers should know that we are waiting for them with a victory. Kazan residents and business representatives are all involved in supporting our new territories and our guys in one desire to win.” 

The unit of Hero of Russia, Commander of the 1102 Motorized Rifle Regiment Ainur Safiullin will receive specialized assistance. The humanitarian cargo included the equipment needed at the front line. 

Ainur Safiullin is well known far beyond the borders of Tatarstan. He was awarded the title of Hero of Russia for a feat accomplished in early 2022. Before the start of the battle, the commander received a shrapnel wound, but did not leave his soldiers and continued to command the operation. The task was successfully completed, and the Russian military captured prisoners and foreign weapons. On December 19, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Ainur Safiullin with the Gold Star Medal of the Hero of the Russian Federation for his courage and heroism.
