The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin held a meeting on infrastructure development for a residential area at the site of the former Military Camp-32 warehouses. Presently, several apartment buildings are under construction here. In the future, the area of the new housing will be 250 thousand square meters for 16 thousand residents. The plans also include the construction of social infrastructure: schools, kindergartens, and about 25 kilometers of main and on-site networks. The sewerage of the area provides for the construction of five sewage-pumping stations. The central facility will provide an estimated capacity of 2,219 cubic meters per hour. To date, the readiness of this station is estimated at 44%.
The water supply project includes the laying of 14.1 km of pipelines (5.1 km – main networks, 9 km – on-site). As of today, 3.36 km of pipes have already been laid, including more than 3.1 km of the main water pipeline (the readiness of this section is over 61%).
The utilities will have a reserve of capacity, which will provide resources for not only the residential area under construction, but also for all subsequent stages of development of the district and adjacent storage areas.
The main water pipeline runs along the Gorkovsky Highway and connects the area with the city's water supply system. The connection will be made to a network with a diameter of 1200 mm. The main trunk pipeline of the residential area has a diameter of 710 mm, distribution networks inside residential buildings range from 250 to 600 mm.
