A gala concert of the Big School Break festival of educational institutions took place at the Pyramid entertainment center. This year, 6,000 children took part in the city competition, while students from 24 Kazan schools reached the final. The finalists presented the best creative performances. School № 175 of the Sovetsky district and school № 3 of the Kirovsky city district became the winners of the festival and received a certificate for one million rubles.
This year, the creative performances of the teams were united by the theme «We are the children of Kazan, we are the children of a great country». The jury selected the best performances in four areas: theater, music and dance, as well as the original genre.
«We are summarizing the results of the 18th «Big School Break». Over the years, the festival has gained the status of an entire movement. This year, 6,000 of our children took part in the festival. And over the past 18 years, 150,000 children have performed at various venues in Kazan, including the finals», – said the Mayor of the city. – I think I'll express the general opinion of parents, teachers, and principals of educational institutions that we all get great pleasure from seeing what talented children we have.»
Before the award ceremony, the school teams performed creative performances.
«For me you are all winners. In my understanding, you are the best. Our children, led by the heads of creative teams, are doing a lot of work. Special thanks to our teachers. We saw great performances, and this is the result of your efforts», – Ilsur Metshin addressed the audience. The Mayor expressed his gratitude to the jury of the competition, heads of educational institutions, team leaders and parents of the participants.
Ilsur Metshin presented certificates to the winners of the festival. The winner in the small group category was school № 3 and took the main prize – 1 million rubles. The second place and a certificate for 500 thousand rubles were awarded to school № 18 with the Tatar language of education. The third place and a certificate for 350 thousand rubles were awarded to school №. 12 with the Tatar language of education.
The first place in the large group was awarded to school № 175 of the Sovetsky district. It was awarded a prize of 1 million rubles. School № 177 of the Novo-Savinovsky district was awarded the second place and a certificate for 500 thousand rubles. Two educational institutions shared the third place: school № 188 of the Kirovsky district and school № 107 of the Novo-Savinovsky district. The Mayor of the city handed them certificates for 350,000 rubles.
The schools-laureates, special prizewinners and participants of the competition were also awarded. Vice Mayor of Kazan Evgenia Lodvigova presented the awards to the participants.
