A ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kirovsky city district took place in the Kazan City Hall. The Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin congratulated residents on this significant occasion and presented awards to those who contributed to the development of the district and city.
“The 100th anniversary of Kirovsky district marks a significant historical milestone, when we can look back on an entire period during which history, tradition, labor, and the dreams of many generations were combined,”- said Ilsur Metshin.
The Mayor noted that the Kirovsky district showed dynamic development, with new houses being actively built and infrastructure rapidly improving. One of the key projects was the construction of the largest residential area “Salavat Kupere”, which provided affordable housing for tens of thousands of people.
Among significant events was the transformation of the village of Yudino, the reconstruction of the Gorky Highway, and the construction of a bypass road. Today, the unique historical territory of Admiralteiskaya Sloboda is also being revived, as well as the renovation of the Alafuzov Factory's territory.
The Mayor emphasized the significant contribution of the Kazan Powder Factory to the economy of the city and the region.
Ilsur Metshin then solemnly presented awards to residents of Kazan who had made significant contributions to the development of the Kirovsky city district.
