(KZN.RU, August 30) Today, the Kazan Circus hosted the ceremony of presenting the annual national heroes prize “Main Characters-2019”. Igor Komarov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, attended the event.
The award “Main Characters” is designed to determine the preferences of the children's audience of Russian television, to identify the best projects for children, as well as to popularize high-quality content of Russian and foreign production presented on modern television, film and animation industry, Internet resources and mobile applications. The best media projects are chosen by the children.
“Dear children, participants of the award! We are pleased to welcome you to this wonderful holiday, which is being held for the third time. The winners of the prize are chosen by the children themselves, and they are the most grateful and impartial jury. I want to congratulate all the participants and winners of the award “Main Characters” and wish you success”, Igor Komarov said in his welcoming speech.
The festival “Main Characters” was held in Kazan at several sites, in particular, on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin and in the Gorky Park of Culture and Leisure. A busy cultural program was organized for children with the participation of representatives of popular children's programs. The main part of the program was the prize awarding.
“We welcome all of you and congratulate you on Republic Day. Thanks to the organizers for hosting this festival in Kazan. I would like to wish everyone a good holiday, and I also hope that we will meet again”, marked Rustam Minnikhanov.
The first festival “Main Characters” was held in 2017 in Moscow. This year, the holiday was held at the regional level for the first time with the support of the President of the RT. The organizers of the award are AO “Channel One. World Wide Web” and AO “Karusel” (a joint project of Channel One and the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company), reports the press service of the President of the RT.
