The traditional horse racing takes place at the Kazan Hippodrome on Republic Day,
(KZN.RU, August 30). Igor Komarov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan visited the equestrian festival and horse races for the President’s Cup and the prize of the Kazan City Hall. The holiday takes place at the international equestrian complex “Kazan”. The event is dedicated to the celebration of the Republic Day.
Immediately upon arrival at Kazan Hippodrome, the guests acquainted with the consumer goods presented in the lobby by “Tatpotrebsoyuz”, and also tasted Tatar national cuisine.
An exhibition-fair of agricultural products was launched by the Republic Day.
The equestrian holiday began with the race of Tatar horses for the Argamak prize. 12 horses of the Tatar breed from different regions of the republic competed at 2000 meters distance. The prize fund of the race is 150 thousand rubles.
In addition, today, participants in races will compete for prizes such as the Cup of the Kazan Hippodrome (prize fund of 200 thousand rubles), the prize of the Federation of Horse Riding and Equestrian Sports of the RT, the Cup of the President of the RT, the prize of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the R, and the prize of Friendship of Peoples, Tatspirtprom Cup, and others.
In total, 16 races are planned this year, including for the prize in honor of the 45th WorldSkills Championship and others. The program will be accompanied by the concert and a prize draw, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
