R. Minnikhanov proposed to develop a comprehensive plan for the development of the territory near the Nizhnezarechenskaya dam

(KZN.RU, May 27). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, proposed to develop a comprehensive plan for the development of the territory near the Nizhnezarechenskaya dam on the right bank of the Kazanka River during the regular detour of the historic center of Kazan. Together with Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and other officials, he got acquainted with the reconstruction and construction of facilities in the historical center of the Tatarstan’s capital.

The first point of the route was the place of construction of a 4-storey extension to the educational institution “Secondary educational boarding school “SOlNTSe” on the K.i Najmi Street, №18 that began in the spring of 2018. Then the head of the republic visited the object of cultural heritage of federal importance “Hotel building of the XVIII century the Nobility Assembly” (Rakhmatullin Street, №6/9), “Piskunov House, 1841”, and the object “House, where Nikolai Bauman was born in 1873 and lived”. There, Rustam Minnikhanov was told about the works on the reconstruction of the historic quarter and presented a schedule of works on the reconstruction of buildings with accommodation for a residential complex.

In addition, Ilshat Gafurov, the rector of the Kazan Federal University, and Elena Skobeltsina, the director of the Lobachevsky Lyceum, presented to the President of the RT the idea of expanding the building of the educational institution on Rakhmatullin Street, №2/8. The head of the republic instructed the Ministry of Education of the RT to analyze the proposal and make a work schedule.

The next point of the route was the object of cultural heritage “Grandhotel”, also known as the “House of the Sveshnikov, the beginning of the XIX century”. In the near future, the installation of a construction fence and the beginning of anti-emergency work are planned there.

Rustam Minnikhanov was presented with a project for the construction of a pedestrian zone and entertainment facilities on the Nizhnezarechenskaya dam on the right bank of the Kazanka River. The head of the republic said that a comprehensive plan for the development of this territory should be created. He was presented with the plan of activities in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Kazan Admiralty in the territory of the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda. It included the start of construction of the museum complex. Rustam Minnikhanov supported the ideas and instructed to begin work on the reconstruction of the fire tower at Malo-Moskovskaya Street.

The last one was the cultural heritage object of federal significance “Memorial Church of the Savior Increate “War memorial” (Kirovskaya dam, №2). Rustam Minnikhanov was presented with the progress of the reconstruction. It is planned to strengthen the slopes, restore the brickwork, the fenders, to lay the basement with the restoration of the cladding, and other works. Metropolitan Feofan of Kazan and Tatarstan joined the participants of the detour and appealed to the head of the republic with a request to assist in repairing the street leading to the Zilantov Monastery. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to study this issue and prepare the necessary documentation, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

Irek Faizullin, the minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the RT, Rafis Burganov, the minister of Education and Science of the RT, Olesya Baltusova, an assistant to the President of the RT, Sergei Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, representatives of contractors, the State Housing Fund under the President of the RT, and others also attended the event.
