The opening of a joint non-profit organization of the KFU and the Rusfond was discussed
(KZN.RU, April 6). The meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Kazan Federal University was held today at the Institute of Engineering of the University. Nikolai Nikiforov, the minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Ilshat Gafurov, the rector of the KFU, and others took part in the meeting.
Before the meeting, Nikolai Nikiforov and Rustam Minnikhanov watched the exhibition of research work in the field of robotics and additive technologies of the KFU. In particular, the guests got acquainted with the developments of scientists of the university in the field of 3D-modeling, perspective materials, engineering of medical equipment, IT-technologies.
Opening the meeting, Nikolai Nikiforov noted that the Supervisory Board of the KFU is working quite actively, considering many issues, and decisions on them are taken in absentia. “Today we were able to see a very impressive exhibition, the real results of research and development on the most advanced areas that go in the framework of the digital economy program”, marked the minister.
The President of the RT noted that serious changes are taking place at the university. “The new competencies in the Kazan Federal University are very competitive and in demand both in our republic and the whole country. We were impressed by the developments that are being conducted here. The most important thing is that students will be integrated into all the processes of the digital economy. We will support our colleagues as much as possible”, added Rustam Minnikhanov.
One of the topics on the agenda of the meeting was the opening of a joint autonomous non-profit organization of the KFU and the Rusfond “Kazan (Volga) Register of Potential Bone Marrow Donors”.
Also, the council members discussed the creation of small innovative enterprises, examined the financial and economic activities of the university in 2017, and determined the planned indicators for 2018-2020, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
