The concept of landscaping of the Lebyazhie Lake territory will be discussed by the citizens

The next stage of the large-scale project on eco-rehabilitation of the Lebyazhie Lake in the Kirovsky district of Kazan will be the improvement of the adjacent territory. Today, during the program “Theme” on the TV channel “Efir”, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said that the fate of this territory will be brought to the discussion of the citizens. However, the illuminated ski track will operate there this winter.

Residents are very interested in the restoration of the lake. Valentina, a resident of the Kirovsky district, asked during the TV program: “Will the ski tracks be made this year?”

The Mayor of Kazan responded that the task was set for the illuminated ski tracks to be opened this winter. And the next year, there will be the improvement of this territory. But the choice of the concept will be made in the course of the public discussion: whether there will be a pristine forest park or the territory with various activities.

The head of the city highly appreciated the first results on the restoration of the Lebyazhie lakes system. “Nature has given us enough time to fill the lake. There was only the Maloe Lebyazhie, the area of which was 4 hectares. And now the water surface has grown by 6.5 times. We have deepened the bottom to 3-4 meters. The special protective ecological shield is laid, the banks are landscaped, the water pipeline with the Izumrudnoe Lake is laid”, said the Mayor and expressed his gratitude to the group of companies “TAIF” for the support of the project.

The restoration of the natural pearl of Kazan is conducted under the personal control of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, since the object is of special value, said the Mayor. "”It's not just a water surface. This is the ecological framework of the city, its lungs. Life-spanning of man for a quarter of a century inflicted damage on the territory. The lake has dried out. We have returned such a pearl to the city and the inhabitants”, marked the Mayor.

The Mayor of Kazan drew attention to the fact that the improvement works are being carried out in other urban areas: in the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest, where an ecological center is planned to be opened in the near future, and in the park “Chernoe Ozero”, where the ice rink will open on the eve of the New Year. “Much work has been done, and it will be continued”, said I.
