The Kazan Executive Committee won the Games of Municipal Employees of Tatarstan
(KZN.RU, December 4, Alsu Safina). The Kazan Executive Committee became the winner of the Spartakiad of municipal employees of the RT. The competition ended on the weekend. Svetlana Vostrikova, the chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, told at the Business Monday that Kazan team scored 22 points after all the tournaments in the Spartakiad.
Spartakiad started on March 11 with the competitions in cross-country skiing. During the year, competitions were held in 7 sports as well: volleyball, futsal, badminton, table tennis, track and field, swimming, and chess. On December 1-3, there were competitions in badminton, table tennis, track and field, swimming, and chess. 1 place was taken in in swimming, table tennis and track and field athletics competitions, 2nd place in badminton and chess.
The Kazan team became the absolute winner in men's volleyball and in futsal. Silver was won in ski races and bronze in women's volleyball.
The second place in the Spartakiad was taken by the team of Nizhnekamsk district (26 points), the third by the team of Aznakaevsky district (46 points). Teams that won prizes are awarded diplomas, medals, and cups.
Last year, the Executive Committee team also became the first. A universal ground was built on the territory of the sports camp “Young Guard” for a cash prize of 2 million rubles.
“We are the first again and our leaders are the most athletic in the republic”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and congratulated the Executive Committee on the victory.
