The preparation for the WorldSkills-2019 Championship in Kazan was discussed in the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT
(KZN.RU, November 10). The issues of preparation for the world championship on professional skills in accordance with WorldSkills-2019 standards in Kazan and the experience of participation of the national team in the WorldSkills-2017 championship in Abu Dhabi were discussed at the meeting in the Government House of the RT today.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, held a meeting. Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, heads of republican ministries and departments took part in the event.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it is necessary to determine what can be learned from Abu Dhabi's experience in preparation for the world championship in professional skills WorldSkills-2019. This concerns both project decisions and organizational issues.
The international exhibition center “Kazan Expo” will become the main venue for the world championship in professional skill in accordance with WorldSkills standards in 2019 in Kazan.
Adel Khusnutdinov, the general director of the GUP “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt”, made a presentation during the meeting. He cited brief comparative characteristics of the ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center) in Abu Dhabi and the international exhibition complex “Kazan Expo”.
The territory of the ADNEC is 29 hectares, the total area of the center is 133 thousand square meters, excluding built-in and attached hotels and including exhibition pavilions (73 thousand square meters), indoor exhibition pavilions (55.9 thousand square meters). The ADNEC consists of the main exhibition hall, foyer, registration area, offices, VIP-halls and a conference hall, storage facilities, and a parking area.
The international exhibition center “Kazan Expo” covers an area of 58 hectares. A total area is 138.183 thousand square meters. m, including exhibition pavilions (75.83 thousand square meters), and covered temporary pavilions (62.35 thousand square meters).
The participants discussed possible additions to the existing project “Kazan Expo”, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
As part of the closing ceremony of the WorldSkills Abu Dhabi-2017, the flag of the world championship was solemnly given to Russia as the hostess of the next, 45th championship. The organizers of the championship in the UAE passed the baton to Kazan. The flag was received by Olga Golodets, the deputy prime minister of the RF, Alexey Likhachev, the general director of GC “Rosatom”, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Robert Urazov, the general director of the “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia), and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
