FISU flag to tour Tatarstan cities
(KZN.RU, September 6, by Renat Shirmanov.) The interest in the 2013 Kazan Universiade should be promoted in every way. This was stated by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at a Business Monday today.
As Ilsur Metshin said, the FISU (International University Sports Federation) flag, which is touring Russia’s cities, is being wecomed by tens of thousands of people. Russian youngsters enthusiastically take part in the relay "Universiade in your city!" festivities.
According to the mayor, the interest in the World Student Games is a good ground for the promotion of Kazan and propagation of Universiade ideas across the country.
In the opinion of the Mayor, Tatarstan’s citizens should participate in the national holiday. "It would be wrong to display the flag throughout Russia and not show it in our own republic."
