Metshin: "Our goal is to preserve the character of Marjani Street "

Saving the character of Marjani street is a primary goal in the reconstruction of Staro-Tatarskaya sloboda ( the Old Tatar Settlement), one of the original nooks of the capital of Tatarstan. This was stated by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at the meeting.
Among the buildings on this street, there are architectural monuments, but most of them are ordinary houses which make a general impression of Marjani Street.
"The facades along the streets should be recognizable. The least we can do is to restore the cultural layer which can be seen in the photos. Our goal is to preserve the character of the street,” summed up the head of the city.
