October 6). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the Center of Natural
clothing aid to the poor in the Novo-Savinovsky district. The Mayor inspected
the premises and familiarized with institutions working order. Damir Fattakhov,
the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Iskander Giniyatullin,
the deputy head of the Executive Committee on Housing and the chairman of the
Housing Committee, Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and
Novo-Savinovsky districts administration, and Marat Nuriyev, the director of
the management company “Uyutny Dom” and the initiator of center creating, also
attended the event.
M. Nuriyev
told the Mayor that the center provides free assistance to needy citizens to
ensure their have the necessary. The director said that when the institution
opened, mostly employees of the management company and the contractors brought
things, but now residents of the district and the whole city also joined the
action. “We now have more than 7,000 items of clothing, shoes, toys, received
from 270 Kazan families”, said M. Nuriyev. The center was created in the
framework of the city project “Good Kazan”, initiated by I. Metshin. The Center
began its work on June 1 this year at the street Chetaev, 50.
Citizens
can bring things daily from 8.00 to 17.00 (phone: 523-26-99). Distribution
shall be on Fridays from 8.00 to 12.00 on the list, provided by the Department
of Social Protection of the Novo-Savinovsky district. Targeted assistance for
all the work time was provided to 112 families, who were given more than 1000
items. I. Metshin talked with one of the residents, who participated in the
fundraising. “A lot of difficult situations happen in life. Thank you very much
for your help”, the Mayor thanked her for the concerned attitude.
After inspection
of the work of the Center, the Mayor of Kazan instructed to study the issue on
the organization of such centers in all parts of the city. “We have people who
want to help. It is important to organize it right”, said the Mayor. I. Metshin
noted that people used to help the needy through mosques, churches, charities
and community organizations. “We must be involved in this great work with our
capabilities, our administrative resources. It is necessary to organize the
work, and then people will be able to receive more aid”, marked the Mayor of
Kazan.
